Rinse moong dal thoroughly. In a pot, add dal with 4 cups water and turmeric powder. Bring to boil and cook until soft (20 mins).
In a separate pan, heat oil. Add chopped onion and cook until golden (2 mins).
Add minced garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute. Add chopped green chillies.
Add Dal Tadka Masala and let it sizzle for 15 seconds, stirring constantly.
Pour this tadka into the cooked dal. Stir well to distribute the flavours.
Let it simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Add lemon juice and adjust salt. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice, roti, or flatbread.
